Christmas 1997

The family headed to Mexico for Christmas.  Huatulco, Mexico, is a small but developing resort area in the far south of Mexico, and is a worthwhile destination for any vacationing person.  We stayed at the Royal Maeva and had a very good time indeed.

Mom, Kathe, Dad, Me, Keri, Dennis, and Randy dug Christmas 97 in Huatulco, Mexico

Of all of us, Keri took the most advantage of the All-Inclusive policy.   Not only did she windsurf (it looked easier on the beach than it did in the water)...

Keri also tried her fins at scuba lessons!

When she wasn't too busy, her and I just enjoyed our time on the beach together...

Unfortunately, my grandfather was fighting for his life back in Florida and we made several calls home during the trip to check on his health.  In the end, the 84 years caught up with him and he finally passed on after we returned stateside January 11, 1998.  He has been missed.  Here is one of the last pictures of him, taken outside of his Holiday home.
