Brussels by Night
The Grand'Place of Brussels is quite a sight - large old buildings form the walls of a huge square which is the scene of countless tables and chairs for lounging and dining in the warmer months. On this night, the cooler temperatures kept us indoors, but as you can tell from the shot below I was happy to be there anyway.
The people of Brussels take their food seriously. Two hour lunches and three hour dinners are very common, and with seafood, wines and beers, and chocolates as good as they have there it is no surprise! On my first night in town, my two experienced traveler friends Albert (on the left) and Dave (on the right) showed me how to enjoy Brussels dining. We had some of the best mussels, fish, and other catches from the sea I could imagine. It is a meal I won't soon forget. Below Albert and Dave are pictured on the way back home from the experience passing in front of a cool looking Theater.
